Why and How to Develop a Fit For Duty Policy For Your Company
This training session is designed for owners and general managers, to help employers be ready for the changing world and changing workplace after the legalization of marijuana.  Marshall will discuss why it is important to have a policy in this new era in Canada.  He has developed a template policy for you to use in your workplace, and will walk through the policy with all participants, highlighting how you might modify the policy to fit your unique company.  You will leave this training session with a policy that can work for you. 

Presenter's Background

Marshall grew up in Saskatchewan and graduated from Yale in 1979 with a Degree in Administrative Science, with a concentration in Management and Policy.  He worked in Human Resources for his entire career.  Most of Marshall’s HR career has been spent in the private sector in potash mining, steel and pipe manufacturing, the forest industry and 2 years in the public sector in the NWT.  His experience has been in both Canada and the United States, in all facets of HR.

 

Marshall retired in 2017 as the Vice President, Human Resources with The Mosaic Company.  He was responsible for HR for the Potash Business Unit, leading a team of 32 HR professionals, with operations in Saskatchewan and New Mexico.
